On the 3rd September, I arrived in Canada for the very 1st time.
After 15 hours of travelling I found myself face to face with Mona's Mom :o)
Mona was working that day so her Mom was taking care of me.
After we exchanged hugs and hellos, we made our way out of the terminal.
But as we left the building, I looked around and something caught my eye...
I took a second look and my eyes hadn't decieved me...
There was Mona... waiting... with a beautiful bunch of flowers...
I grabbed her, passed the flowers to her Mom...
(They say that I threw the flowers at her mom)
and then I gave her the hugest hug ever...
From the day I arrived 'til the day I left, I never wanted for anything.
From going out for Taco's to photographing trains...
I was even taken for a train ride, I was spoiled rotten :o)
OK... I did give Mona Tea & Breakfast in bed most mornings...
But one morning, she woke up in a bad mood, I was hit with her pillow...
and she told me where to go in no uncertain terms...
She doesn't remember that one though... I do... *smiles*
There was one thing that really puzzled me about Mona though...
No one is allowed to sit on the cushions she has on her couch...
She says they're decorative and must not be squashed...
I maintain my lady... Cushions are for sitting on...
Could this be some strange Canadian custom ???
I'm still scratching my head about that one...
I have been given instructions not to mention her driving... so I won't...
However, while she's driving, her language can be colourful to say the least :o)
She can't deny it either, I have video evidence of this...
We did have some truly wonderful days out though.
Here's a picture of us at Lawrencetown Beach...

...and here we are in the Public Gardens in Halifax...

If I was to say I loved what I saw of their beautiful country,
that would be an under-estimation.
We went to bars... I had beer, Mona played machines.
We went to a wildlife park...
We went to a movie, went bowling...
I even got a strike and won a game *smiles*
I was made to feel comfortable by her whole family from the day I arrived...
But by the time I was going home,
I honestly felt like I was part of the family.
I want to take this opportunity to thank you all once again...
But of course, I send the biggest thanks of all to my DL...
12, 14 and 1... then 12 once again *soft smile*
Oh, there's a rumour going around saying I bought her a ring...
Well, I'd like to state here and now, it's 100% true *smiles*
Until next time my angel *soft smile*
P.S. I did not have any of your Smarties... OK :o)
